Code of Conduct

A Vana weekend is a small group of people brought together in good faith. The feel of it is everyone's responsibility, so here's what we ask.

Respect and inclusion

Vana is for everyone with the right spirit. Treat every guest with the same warmth you'd want yourself.

Kindness first

Good company is the whole point. Be generous, be curious, be easy to be around.

Boundaries

Consent matters, in every sense. Read the room, take no for an answer, and look out for each other.

Drinks

There's very good wine and no pressure to touch it. Know your limits and respect everyone else's. Illegal drugs aren't welcome.

Photos

Take all the photos you like, naturally. Just don't post other guests without asking, and keep phones away when the moment calls for it. What's shared on the weekend stays on the weekend.

The house

Treat the property, the staff and the local area with care. It's someone's home, and somewhere we'd like to be welcomed back.

Accountability

Hosts may ask anyone to leave whose behaviour affects the weekend for others, without refund. We curate in good faith and may decline an application or end a weekend if this Code isn't honoured. That decision rests with Vana.
